Kissan Rabita committee protest

Dear all,

Pakistan Kissan Rabita Committee in association with three left wing parties is organisng a demonstration against land grab on 15th October in Lahore. Peasant from Dehra Sehgal, a small village near Lahore will come to Lahore Press Club on 15th October at 3pm to protest the arrest of the peasants women and men who resisted the take over over of their land by the local l;and lords.

The local land lords in association with the police and administration attacked the village some two months back to take over the 125 acres of land that the poor peasants are cultivating since 1970. The land was given to them by the PPP government when it introduced the land reforms.

Police has arrested scores of peasants on fabricated charges of murder, attempt of murder and attacking the police. A passerby was killed by police firing and the relatives of the deceased has given a statement in this regard, despite that the police charged the peasants for murder and attempt of murder.

Several protests have taken place and there is another demonstration this October as part of the SAAPE thematic group of food sovereignty group.

Join us in Lahore on Sunday 15th October at 3pm, at Lahore Press Club,

Rabia Shad

The Capitalists Manifesto

CAPITALISTS OF PAKISTAN UNITE!

A spectre is haunting Pakistan -- the spectre of the working class. All the powers of old Pakistan have entered into an unholy alliance to exorcise this spectre: The Fundamentalist and the Feudal, The Industrialist and the Investors, The Bank Run Media and the Imperialist Agents.

Where is the party in opposition that has not been decried as awami by its opponents in power?

Where is the opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of the awam, against the more advanced opposition parties, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?

Two things result from this fact:
I. The left is already acknowledged by all Pakistani powers to be itself a power. Its history speaks many words itself.
II. It is high time that the left should openly, in the face of the whole world, publish their views, their aims, their tendencies, and meet this nursery tale of the spectre of the working class with a manifesto of the party itself.

To this end, leftists of various parties have assembled in Lahore and formed a merger and named themselves the Awami Workers Party.

THE CAPITALIST MUST STOP THIS BEFORE THE AWAM OF PAKISTAN CAN TEAR AWAY FROM THEM THEIR DREAMS OF OPPRESSING THE WORKING CLASS!
